Princeton, NJ, June 19, 2006 – The American Red Cross of Central New Jersey will present certifications to teachers and recognize students of the Trenton School District tomorrow who have completed their Red Cross CPR and First Aid training as part of the Trenton School Safety Initiative. The Red Cross will also honor those who’ve gone above and beyond -- one who worked diligently to increase the amount of students reached through the initiative and one who showed a great deal of spirit in learning the skills and helped others learn as well.

Five time All Pro NFL Cornerback and Trenton native, Troy Vincent, will be a special guest during tomorrow’s assembly. Mr. Vincent, founder of Love Thy Neighbor Community Development and Opportunity Corporation, is a partner in the School Safety Initiative and has helped the local Red Cross encourage student participation in the initiative. Other partners include the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers, who, with area car dealerships, helped fund the program through the Charles E. Walton Charitable Foundation.

Media are invited to join tomorrow’s assembly (Please sign in at main office):
