Youth Services

The American Red Cross of Central New Jersey Youth Services program integrates young people of all ages into the delivery of our services to the community-at-large through meaningful volunteer opportunities.  Young people are an essential part of our service delivery and enhance our ability to respond to the needs of our communities.  Through involvement with area Red Cross Clubs, students develop leadership skills that will enable them to continue to be productive citizens as adults.

For more information about volunteer opportunities for young people in Youth Services, please email Stephanie Weaver at weavers@njredcross.org.

The American Red Cross of Central New Jersey also provides programs for young people of various ages to learn about preparing for disasters, responding to emergencies, and avoiding unsafe risks.  These lessons reinforce the importance of learning safe habits and developing confidence to prepare for and respond to emergencies.

For more information about disaster preparedness programs for young people, such as Masters of Disaster, please visit the Community Disaster Education page on our web site.

For more information about health and safety programs for young people, such as First Aid for Children Today (F.A.C.T.) or Water Habits Are Learned Early (W.H.A.L.E.) Tales, please visit the Community Services page on our web site.
